Rippling pricing: what you'll actually pay in 2026

Prices checked: July 31, 2026 Reading time: 9 min By Andrew

The short version

Rippling’s pricing page, as of our July 30, 2026 check, shows no numbers at all — the long-standing $8/user anchor is gone — but that buys the platform core only. Payroll, benefits admin, IT device management and every other function is a separately priced module, and a typical 8-person team lands around $160–280/mo at the $20–35 per-employee reality buyers report (CostBench 2026; Vendr’s 235 verified contracts put the median annual deal near $40k). It is still worth it for teams that will use three or more modules. It is the wrong buy for simple US-only payroll — that's Gusto's job.

If you've read Rippling's pricing page and still don't know what you'd pay, that's by design: as of our July 30, 2026 check the public page shows no prices at all — three product suites, feature lists, and a demo button. So this page does two things: documents the quote wall itself — their own pricing FAQ describes per-employee billing plus “a monthly basis fee”, with no figures anywhere on the page — and reconstructs a realistic bill from reported buyer data and documented user reports — labeled as such, never dressed up as a quote.

How Rippling's pricing is structured

Think of it as a platform fee plus a menu. You pay for the core (identity, permissions, workflows), then add modules per employee per month:

ModuleWhat it doesPrice/user/mo
Rippling CoreRequired platform base$8 (former anchor, delisted)
+ ~$35–40 flat/mo reported
US PayrollFull-service federal/state payroll~$8 (reported)
Benefits adminBroker or bring-your-own~$4–6 (reported)

Team shape: 6 US employees, 2 international contractors, payroll + benefits + device management.

The costs the pricing page won't show you

  • Implementation fees: buyers report $1,000–5,000 (to $15k on complex integrations) — ask directly; end-of-quarter waivers are common. Get it in writing.
  • Annual contracts are standard, with reported renewal escalators of 5–7%/yr; multi-year terms trade 15–25% off for lock-in.
  • Module minimums: some modules price per company, not per seat, which punishes tiny teams — the flat ~$35–40 base fee is the visible example; buyers report per-module floors in quotes.

What Reddit gets right about Rippling's pricing

The most-upvoted thread ranking for this query is titled "I chose Rippling and highly regret it" — and the complaint inside is not about the product, it's about the bill growing module by module. That's a fair warning with an unfair conclusion: the modular model is exactly why Rippling is cheap for teams that consolidate three tools into it, and expensive for teams that wanted payroll only. Price the modules you'll actually switch on, not the demo.

Who should not buy Rippling

  • US-only teams under ~10 people who need payroll and nothing else — you'd pay for a platform you won't use.
  • Teams that hate procurement calls: several modules are quote-only.
  • Anyone expecting the advertised per-seat price to be the invoice total.

FAQ

Does Rippling have a free trial?

No self-serve trial: the pricing page has no signup path, and access starts with a sales demo and a custom quote. Budget the evaluation as a sales process, not a test drive.

Is Rippling cheaper than ADP?

Unanswerable on stickers — both are quote-only. Buyers report similar $20–40 PEPM landings at SMB scale; the real difference is what’s bundled (Rippling: IT and devices; ADP: compliance depth) — see also Gusto vs ADP.

What is Rippling's EOR price per employee?

Unpublished; buyer reports and industry guides converge on $499–599/employee/mo on top of the platform base. Deel’s published $599 is the honest benchmark to negotiate against.
